Privacy Policy

Last updated July 1, 2026

Inaami is a peer-to-peer trust network for local commerce. Creators mint time-bound offers (“Moments”); customers lock them, save them in a Vault, and redeem them in person. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and the control you have. We keep it short because we collect little: no location, no device identifiers, no advertising IDs, and no usage analytics. We never sell your data.

What we collect

Only what the app needs to run the trust loop:

  • Phone number — used to sign you in (a one-time SMS code) and as your account identifier. This is the one piece of data required to use Inaami.
  • Display name (optional) — if you choose to set one.
  • Creator images (optional) — if you run a Space, the avatar and cover image you upload. These are marketing creative for your storefront, not personal photos.
  • Your activity in the app — the Moments you lock and redeem (your Vault), the star-and-tag ratings you leave, and your Credits balance and ledger.
  • Storefront content a creator authors — Moment titles and descriptions, and the Space bio.
  • Optional reachability channels — an email address, WhatsApp, or X handle, only if you add one to your profile.

We do not collect: precise or coarse location, device identifiers (no IDFA/IDFV), advertising IDs, usage or product-interaction analytics, crash or diagnostics data, browsing or search history, contacts, health data, or payment information. Inaami requests no location permission on iOS. The camera is used only to scan a customer’s QR code at the counter to honor a redemption.

Why we use it

To operate the core loop — mint, lock, redeem, rate, and earn Credits — to authenticate you by SMS one-time code, and to manage your account. That’s it. No advertising, no profiling, no cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no sale of data to anyone.

How you sign in

Inaami is phone-first. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code delivered by SMS through a telephony provider (e.g. Twilio or 2Factor); we then issue a session token (JWT). There is no password, no email login, and no third-party or social login.

Where your data is stored

We use a small set of trusted processors to run the service:

  • PostgreSQL (hosted on Railway) — your account and activity data.
  • Cloudflare R2 — creator avatar and cover images.
  • SMS provider (Twilio / 2Factor) — delivery of your one-time sign-in code.

What others can see

What a creator can see about a follower is privacy-gated and opt-in. Your identity is not visible to a creator by default — you choose what to share. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers or advertisers.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This removes your account and signs out all your sessions. You can also email us at support@inaami.in to request deletion. We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Children

Inaami is a general-audience commerce app rated 4+. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your region

Inaami operates India-first. If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), including access to and deletion of your personal data. To exercise any data right, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above.
